Which Models Won 2023 MAZDA Safety Awards?

In total, the IIHS tested 6 Mazda models this year, and each of them won 2023 IIHS top safety awards, meaning that Mazda are safe choices for your quest for a safe car. Take a moment to learn about the models that were designated as either a TOP SAFETY PICK or TOP SAFETY PICK+: 

What’s even more impressive is that, in 2021, the IIHS created much stricter criterion for achieving TOP SAFETY PICK rating. For instance, headlights must perform much better, models must feature better pedestrian crash prevention systems, and side crash protection requirements are more stringent. In fact, vehicles that undergo the new side crash test are subjected to 82% more force compared to the old test.
